Description
Commonwealth Staffing is assisting a client of ours in their search for a Staff Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be mentored by a couple of CPAs and to work by a for an establish company in Virginia Beach. This position is newly created due to growth and offers a competitive salary and benefits for the role.
Responsibilities- Performs bank and credit card reconciliations
- Records accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Makes journal entries and assists Controller with various reconciliations
- Assists Controller with special projects
- Effectively create and utilize system reports from the company's accounting software
- Respond to financial inquiries and requests from company managers
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-4+ years of accounting experience
- Experience using accounting software (Yardi, MRI, Sage, etc.)
- Intermediate or above Excel user
- Must have a positive attitude, be detail oriented, and be a team player
- Someone who can work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively.
